Eligibility Criteria & Admission Process at TIB, Kolkata<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

B.Tech: Eligibility Criteria<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

To be eligible for admission to the B.Tech program, candidates must meet the following requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2705 Educational Qualification:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  • Must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with any one of the following:
    Chemistry \/ Biotechnology \/ Biology \/ Computer Science \/ Computer Application \/ Technical Vocational Subject.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Candidates must secure individual pass marks (both in theory and practical\/project, wherever applicable) in all three subjects.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Minimum Marks Required:\n
      \n
    • General Category: At least 45% aggregate marks in the above three subjects.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Reserved Category (SC\/ST\/OBC-A\/OBC-B\/PWD): At least 40% aggregate marks in the above three subjects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Must have passed English in 10+2 with at least 30% marks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • The qualifying examination board must be recognized by the Central Government or State Government.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      B.Tech: Admission Procedure<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      \ud83d\udccc Entrance Exams:
      Admission is based on the WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination) or JEE Main (National Level Exam) scores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \ud83d\udccc Counseling Process:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Candidates must apply separately for the entrance exams.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • After clearing the exam, candidates must participate in counseling conducted by WBJEEB or JOSAA (for JEE Main candidates).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Seats are allotted based on rank, choice of institution, category, and availability of seats.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Once allotted, candidates must report to the college within the given timeline for final admission.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        • Must have a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Engineering\/Technology (B.E.\/B.Tech.) in the relevant discipline.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Must have obtained at least 60% marks or 6.75 CGPA in graduation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          \ud83d\udccc Selection Process:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            \n
          • Admission is based on GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) or PGET (Post Graduate Entrance Test) scores.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Candidates must appear for CCMT counseling or counseling conducted by the university.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • GATE-qualified candidates receive additional weightage during selection.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Candidates appearing for the final year qualifying exam may apply but must produce proof of passing at the time of admission.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

            MCA: Eligibility & Selection Criteria<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

            • Must have a BCA or Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Computer Science Engineering.

            • Must have a B.Sc.\/B.Com.\/B.A. degree with Mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level (additional bridge courses may be required).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Minimum Marks:\n

              • General Category: At least 50% marks in graduation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • Reserved Categories (SC\/ST\/OBC\/PWD): At least 45% marks in graduation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
