Rotaract Club at TIB College \ud83c\udf0d\ud83d\udc99<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Rotaract Club of Techno International Batanagar (TIB)<\/strong> is a student-driven social service club, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Calcutta Dhakuria, aimed at empowering young individuals (18-30 years old) to make a difference in society. Students from all four years of the course curriculum can join and actively participate in community service initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On November 8, 2019, our club was officially recognized and felicitated for our ongoing social welfare initiatives, receiving our Rotaract Charter under the Rotary Club of Calcutta, Dhakuria. Since its inception, the club has been committed to uplifting underprivileged communities through charitable initiatives, mentorship, and humanitarian services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83c\udf0d About Rotaract: A Global Movement<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udd39 Founded 50 years ago, the first Rotaract Club was established in North Charlotte, Carolina on March 13, 1968.
\ud83d\udd39 The first Rotaract Club in India was Rotaract Club of Secunderabad (RID 3250).
\ud83d\udd39 The oldest running Rotaract Club in RID 3291 is Rotaract Club of Calcutta.
\ud83d\udd39 Rotaract = Rotary + Action: Focused on leadership development and responsible citizenship through community service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At TIB, our club has successfully organized blood donation camps, tree plantation drives, food & clothing donation campaigns, and welfare projects for underprivileged women, children, elderly, and animals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83c\udfad Muktodhara<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A cultural event organized at TIB, where children from local communities were trained in singing and dancing. They performed alongside Rotaract members in a grand celebration, graced by Rotary International dignitaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83c\udf81 Icchapuran<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

On the occasion of Durga Puja, we distributed 150+ clothing items to children at Ashiyana Happy Home, along with visits to Puja pandals to make their celebrations extra special.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83c\udfd5 Sankalp<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A relief camp organized at New Cooch Behar Railway Station Hawkers Area, in collaboration with RC Calcutta Lansdowne & Blood Donor Organization, Cooch Behar, where essential supplies were distributed to 50+ underprivileged families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udecc Sneher Porosh<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A mega blanket donation drive in partnership with Rotaract Club of Calcutta Lansdowne, ensuring winter relief for homeless individuals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83e\udd56 Annakut<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A ration distribution campaign for Old Age Homes, held in collaboration with RC Calcutta Lansdowne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83e\ude78 Lifestream<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A blood donation camp as part of our COVID-19 relief efforts, conducted with Nabadishay Matribhumi and sponsored by TIB & Rotary Club of Calcutta Dhakuria. Over 35 blood donors contributed, making the event a great success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83c\udf31 Hariyali \u2013 Tree Plantation Drive<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Led by TIB students & faculty, we planted multiple tree species, including jackfruit, guava, mahogany, and custard apple, promoting eco-consciousness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83c\udf93 Guru Pranaam<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

On Teachers’ Day 2021, we paid tribute to mentors & educators who played a pivotal role in shaping students’ futures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A mega cloth donation drive, where 450+ clothes were distributed near Bhootnath Temple, North Kolkata.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udccc Educational & Infrastructure Development \u2013 Supporting Ranabhutia Aboitanik Prathomik Vidyalaya (near TIB) by donating books, improving school facilities, and conducting self-defense training for students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udccc Community Welfare Projects \u2013 Building waiting sheds at the college Toto stand to provide shelter from extreme weather conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udccc Post-Durga Puja Orphanage Visit \u2013 Organizing another orphanage donation drive for underprivileged children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udccc Animal Welfare Campaign \u2013 Distributing food & water for street dogs and cats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udccc Public Health & Hygiene Awareness \u2013 Conducting Regional Mask Distribution Camps and Hygiene Awareness Programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
